Myst kept her gaze and tone level as she answered the Faerie Queen's question. After all, she did not trust Fayliah, why should Fayliah have any reason at all to trust her?
"To seek from her what none of the Shadow could hope to give." Her voice lost the slight edge that had previously hardened it. "I wish to become a Healer."

Talnaver nodded to this-- a simple reply to the Shadow Fae's comment. Her voice was low. "And I have agreed to 't, Fayliáh," she said softly, rubbing the side of her face thoughtfully with one hand. "I know... 'tis odd to see one such as I to take to... an enemy race... but... Myst is different."
She sighed, and lowered her hand to her side, and mentally slapping herself for forgetting any manners.
"N'eretheless, I forget myself," the Mage Queen said calmly, bowing again. "Thou wish refreshments, milady Fayliáh?"

Fayliáh nodded thankfully. "Yay, prithee. Farrian Ale, if 'tis at all possible." Getting to her knees, the Faerie Queen knelt next to the other women.
"Healing, eh?" Fayliáh raised her eyebrows in amusement. After a moment, Fayliáh lowered them so she wouldn't seem rude. "Do nay take my reaction wrong. I do believe that 'tis possible for one of thy..." the Faerie paused for a moment. "kind is quite capable of being a Healer; of Light, at that."

Myst laughed mirthlessly, the sound grating against her nerves. "Aye, 'tis possible." She stilled, and her voice regained the edge of before. "If't weren't, pray believe, I would'st not have come." The Shadow Fae shook her head. "The Light has a way of drawing one's soul, e'en if they be in the darkest Shadow. Though I was nearer to the edge of the darkness to begin with -- 'twould be near impossible for many another, this shift."

Fayliáh understood the words, but she didn't really grasp them. Was it possible for one to make such a shift, from Darkness to Light? It was one thing, Light to Dark, but totally another the opposite way. The Faerie Queen had her doubts.
Only nodding as a reply to Myst, Fayliáh inclined her rust-colored hair toward Talnaver. "The Faeries have taken quite the liking to my beloved." Fayliáh stopped for a moment to clarify for the other fae. "Ben. My... friend."

Myst's brow in turn curved upward. There was an underlying story behind the comment, as there was behind anything a person might say. Everything had a story, and a meaning.
Though some things more than others...
"I.... see," she added a little emphasis to the last word, the hint of a question. "All have their differences," she added the last so softly as to be almost to herself, and her shadowed eyes took on a faraway look.

"Nay, thou dost not see," Talnaver said mirthlessly, returning juggling a plate full of mixed fruits and other assorted foods. "No Farrien ale, I fear," she appologized. "Wilt the Chaldonian mix do in its stead?"
The Mage offered the purple tinted beverage to the Faeries, and sat on a mushroom seat still balancing the tray in one hand, and using an earth elemental to juggle the other.
((just because no one's posted in a while, I brought Talnaver back faster than she could've moved, eh?))
